I love the surfaces of pots that contain a vibrant world unto themselves.

The vessels in this collection exhibit rich, dynamic finishes, often with "tails" shooting around them. Some pots are soda-fired, others are wood-fired. Many have been fired on their side to allow the glaze or ash accumulation to flow around the pot in an intentional, though somewhat random, fashion. Two natural phenomena are key inspirations: on earth, tidal pools and streams formed in coastal regions; in the sky, tidal tails from colliding galaxies.
