Thank you for bringing a piece of my New York City studio into your home. To ensure your ceramic piece lasts a lifetime, please follow these care instructions:

1. Intended Use (Non-Food Safe)

Important: All items sold by JAMATO CERAMICS LLC are designed and intended strictly for decorative or horticultural use.

Do Not Use for Food or Drink: These vessels are not necessarily lined with food-safe glazes and are not intended for the consumption of food or liquids.
Decorative Purposes: Perfect for floral arrangements, dried botanicals, air plants, or as standalone sculptural objects.

2. Cleaning Instructions

Hand Wash Only: To preserve the exterior finish and structural integrity, please hand wash with lukewarm water and a mild soap.
Avoid the Dishwasher: The high heat and harsh detergents of a dishwasher can damage the delicate surfaces.
Microwave Warning: Do Not place these items in a microwave. Decorative glazes often contain minerals that can spark or overheat dangerously.

3. Water & Porosity

Waterproofness: While my vases are designed to hold water for fresh flowers, handmade ceramics can occasionally "sweat" or be slightly porous.
Surface Protection: I recommend placing a coaster or felt pad underneath the vessel if placing it on antique wood or delicate surfaces to prevent moisture rings.

4. Thermal Shock

Ceramics are sensitive to extreme temperature shifts. Avoid moving a piece directly from a very cold environment (like a cold delivery truck in a New York winter) to a very hot one, as this can cause the piece to crack.
