Welcome to JAMATO CERAMICS LLC (the "Site", or "I", "my"). By accessing my website and purchasing my products, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:

1. Handmade Nature & Variations

Each piece of ceramics is handcrafted in my New York City studio, with most items then fired in soda or wood kilns in the Hudson Valley. Due to the nature of the medium and my creative process:

Unique Characteristics: Variations in size, shape, and surface color/texture are to be expected and are not considered defects.
Monitor Calibration: I strive to photograph items accurately, but colors may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.

2. Pricing and Payment

Currency: All prices are in USD.
Payment Methods: I accept credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payment must be cleared before an item is shipped.
Sales Tax: As a New York-based business, I'm required by law to collect sales tax on all orders shipped to addresses within New York State.

3. Shipping & Fragile Handling

I take immense care in packing your ceramics using professional-grade materials to ensure a safe journey.

Processing Time: Orders are typically processed within 10 business days.
Incorrect Addresses: I am not responsible for packages delivered to an incorrect address provided by the buyer.

4. Breakage & Damage Policy

Despite best efforts, shipping can be unpredictable and carries risks.

Reporting Damage: If an item arrives broken, you must contact me at support@jamatoceramics.com within 48 hours of delivery.
Evidence: Please include photos of the damaged item and the packaging. This is required to file an insurance claim with the carrier. The damaged product also needs to be returned to JAMATO CERAMICS LLC at 38 W 32nd Street, Suite 810, New York, NY, 10001, USA.
Resolution: A refund for the original purchase amount will typically be processed within 10 business days from when I receive the damaged item.

5. Returns & Exchanges

Because I'm a small studio, all items are Final Sale. I only accept returns for items damaged during shipping. See our Refund Policy for further information.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this site, including photography, product designs, and branding, is the property of JAMATO CERAMICS LLC and is protected by United States copyright laws.

7. Limitation of Liability

JAMATO CERAMICS LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of my products.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in New York County, NY.
